EPDP’s Central Council Established Two Committees on its Meeting February 24, 2018
The Executive Committee of the Eritrean People’s Democratic Party, on its Third Central Council meeting, held on February 24, 2018, presented its task of formulating working guidelines for the establishment of committees and after thorough deliberations, its recommendations were adopted. It is to be recalled that the Eritrean People’s Democratic Party, on its Second Central Council meeting, held on January 27, 2018, entrusted the Executive Committee to devise working guidelines for the establishment of committees. Based on these decisions, two committees were established.
Research and Study Committee
- Mesfn Hagos
- Dawit Solomon
- Hamid Drar
- Fessehaye Tensiew
- Menghisteab Gobezai
Transitional Planning Committee
- Efrem Taffere
- Tekeste Damer
- Dr. Gebremeskel Gebremariam
The meeting discussed some important developments in the region and the worsening situations in Eritrea. It condemned the inhumane decision by the government of Israel to deport Eritreans. After weeks of mounting tensions and the mobilization of the Sudanese army on the border between Eritrea and the Sudan, the recent and developing deescalation of tensions is a welcome relief. Wars and military confrontations would only lead to further destruction of the region and hamper its much-needed development.
The new political developments in Ethiopia are of great concern to the region. Any instability in Ethiopia would further contribute to the destabilization of the region and its peaceful resolution is of paramount importance not only to Ethiopia but to the entire region.
Eternal Gory to out martyrs
We shall prevail
