Successful public meeting in the city of Guthneborg-Sweden

A public meeting was conducted on Sunday 7th of November in the city of Guthenborg by the Eritrean commission for democratic change- Sweden Branch where a considerable part of the political, civil organizations and individuals participated.

The meeting was conducted from three o’clock in the afternoon and lasted up to eight o’clock in the evening.

public mobilization opened the meeting and presented in detail about the conference and its outcomes plus the work assignments of the commission.

Mr. Idris Nour, member of the commission and responsible for organizational and public mobilisation started his report on the performance of the conference from the beginning to the final by using power-point. His analyses were very clear and precise without no difficulties to grasp. He concluded his analysis by showing the organizational chart of the commission and how it functions. His presentation was modern, instructive and fantastic.

The meeting was conducted by two languages Arabic and Tigrinya and there was no problem of translation. Mr. Abdulakarim Mustafa, member of the commission and responsible of the media strategy of the commission has translated all the pictorial and oral explanations in Arabic language.

The main issues for discussion were the responsibility and mandate of the commission. The commission has explained for the attendees what each commission group does and what and how each groups work looks.

The four main work projects of each commission group:

1. Public mobilisation and organization, who they are and what they do.

2. Political and diplomatic relations, who they are what they do.

3. Media and information, who they are and what they do.

4. Financial and economic resource, who they are and how they work.

Public debate and discussions

In the second session of the meeting, the commission opened and gave the opportunity to the public for discussion. The commission has responded all questions clearly and openly. Those comments and critics forwarded by participants were constructive and were helpful for the commission in succeeding its project.

Finally, A five man committee was appointed to work in the four programmes of the commission in Guthenborg. The meeting concluded successfully and participants were satisfied by the analysis and the work of the commission.
