The Sudanese Foreign Minister, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, indicated the capability of the Sudan to use the “ Eritrean refugees’ card” whose number in the Republic of the Sudan is estimated by more than  half a million against Eritrea . “If we had armed ten thousands from among the Eritrean opposing refugees, they would have entered Asmara,” said Dr. Mustafa; adding that the current Eritrean regime had reached Asmara on the back of Sudanese tanks.

Dr. Mustafa said in a press conference in Sanna, the capital city of Yemen that “All neighbors of Eritrea are suffering from its fires.” Moreover, he underscored that the international community should be conscious that the Sudanese long held” self control approach” is finished off towards the Eritrean continuous provocations against the Sudan. The Sudanese foreign minister underlined that the Eritrean regime is “ irregular, totalitarian and fascist with which sayings of good dialogue do not work out;” pinpointing that the Eritrean regime is serving “  a  pre-paid alien plan against the Sudan and carries out roles of foreign powers.”

The Sudanese Foreign Minister, Dr. Mustafa, pointed out that members of the American congress and the Zionist lobby are forcing the Eritrean regime to provocations against the Sudan due to the Sudanese “in principle attitude” towards the issue of normalizing relations with Israel. Furthermore the Sudanese foreign minister born out Eritrea the responsibility of the last events which the Eastern part of the Sudan had witnessed; assuring that the rebels which the Eritrean government trains are ambushing in roads to rob the property of citizens and to attack civilians, as well.

The minister has briefed the Yemeni president about the latest developments along the border of the Sudan with Eritrea. According to today’s edition of the aL-Sahafa newspaper of Khartoum the minister had clarified the acts of the Eritrean regime to destabilize the security and stability of the Eastern part of the Sudan to the Yemeni president, the Chairman of the “Sanna Assembly.” In the same course, the minister, according to the newspaper, had briefed the Yemeni president about the gist of the Sudanese complaint against Eritrea to the Security Council. The minister has called on the international community to bear responsibility of limiting Eritrea from interfering into the affairs of the Sudan; pointing out that” the Sudan is yet following the approach of wisdom and patience.”

The Sudanese minister had referred to the possibility of Khartoum’s advent to ignite fires along the border between Eritrea and the Sudan in a press conference he held in Sanna where he is participating at  the “ Ministerial Council’s meeting” for the Organization of the Islamic Congress.

The Sudanese minister has forwarded in the press conference a threat which is considered the first of its “type” in the course of tensions in the relations of the two countries; calling upon the international community to put a limit to  what he has called, “ Eritrea’s  practices’ and its support for rebels in the East and West of the Sudan.” The Sudanese minister warned that, “if the international community wants Eritrea to continue in these practices; then it should expect escalations and explosions along the border of the East of the Sudan,” according to today’s edition of the Aray-al-Am (Public Opinion) newspaper of Khartoum.
