GIC
Khartoum (Sep.17)-The Eritrean Democratic Alliance adopted unanimously, in its yesterday afternoon session, a resolution of withdrawing the membership of Mr. Adhnom Gebremariam, the former deputy chairman of the Executive Office of the EDA. Informed sources have disclosed to the GIC that the members of the Eritrean Democratic Alliance have entertained the presented request by the Eritrean People’s Movement to withdraw the membership of Adhnom from the EDA for he does no more represent it in the EDA. Accordingly, the second periodical meeting of the Central Body of the EDA, in its session of membership confirmation, pulled out the membership of Adhnom from the EDA. Adhnom had been representing the Eritrean People’s Movement which had frozen his membership in its second periodical meeting of the Central Body in last August.
Adhnom has presented to the central body of the EDA a proposal by the name “a provisional leadership of the EPM.” However, the Central body of the EDA has decided to pull out his membership from the EDA in accordance to the clauses of the EDA’s charter after unanimously rejected and downplayed his request.
Mr. Adhnom had differed and separated from the Eritrean Democratic Party which is headed by Mesfun Hagos and repeated the same attitude with the Eritrean peoples Movement.
The Eritrean Democratic Alliance, which has begun its sessions before two days, is continuing its sessions of deliberations of the second periodical meeting of the EDA in Khartoum.
