DEMONSTRATION at Brussels main Square – Belgium
A Successful Demonstration was held On December 9, 2005 By Eritrean Civil Societies and political & social organizations ….a day before the International Human Rights Day.
On this occasion, our organization – Network of Eritrean Civil Societies in Europe (NECS) – along with members of the Eritrean Democratic Alliance and other political organizations has decided to, once again, remind the Institutions of the European Union of the fast deteriorating state of human rights and the increasingly systematic violations of all the fundamental freedoms in our country of origin, Eritrea.
It was a successful Demonstration where hundreds of Eritrean Humanitarian and politico-religious groups chanting Peace for all Eritreans, Freedom of Speech to all and others like Free the Prisoners, Stop Religious persecution.
A visit has been paid to the various Offices of the respected High-level leaderships of;

The results of the meetings held by the representatives of Eritrean Civic + EDA member and Religious organisations were again successful and a big boost to the coordinated action of Eritrean democrats. The commission members told the representatives of Eritrean organisations that their concerns are understood by the European Union and European Human Rights Council and they will give their full support in the future and they will use their good offices for support and cooperation with the Eritrean democratic organisations to find a peaceful solution in the near future. However they also mentioned that they Eritrean groups also must consolidate their work and gain extensive political and humanitarian support.
