In loving memory of kidane Seyoum Berhe (ABU DIGN)
Kidane Seyoum Berhe was born on the 19th September 1959 in Eritrea. He grew up in a Christian family like any Eritrean child. He commenced his primary and secondary education in Adikeyeh and Decemhar, Akele-Guzay then he went Addis Ababa for further study.
In 1973, like most of the Eritrean youth, he joined the Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) and served as a front fighter in Denkel until 1981. After the ELF was defeated by EPLE, he returned from Sudan and continues fighting the Ethiopian regime alongside his comrades, in which case some of his comrades were Zemhret and Ibrahim Totil and so many others.
In 1985, the EPLF was forced to merge their movement under the tyrannical institution, hence the movement was dismantled. However Kidane and his comrades and all Patriots were not satisfied of this move proposed by the tyrannical administration, he and his comrades chose to disobey this move and ended up seeking asylum in Sudan.
in 1989, he came to Canada and settled in the capital – Ottawa. This is the place that he started life and family. In 1993, he got married with his wife Hirity Temesge and has 3 children.
In 2006, he moves to Calgary in Alberta with his wife and three beautiful children.
On the 23th August 2015, his maker of whom he was Made on his image, the Owner of his soul told him it’s a perfect time to come back where he belongs.
He has walked his walk, fought his fight, and served his people with love and sacrifice.
Brother Kidane,
Your people, your friends especially those of your comrades who were fought for the cause of freedom of the people you love, will always be with you.
Specially, I will remember the time of joy we had. Your sincere advice and utmost your smile and sarcasm will live with me for ever.
Thank you for being my genuine brother and friend Brother Kidane (ABU DIGN).
May God Rest You in peace

May you always walk In sunshIne May you always walk in sunshine and God’s love around you flow,
for the happiness you gave us,
no one will ever know.
It broke our heart to lose you, but you did not go alone,
a part of us went with you. The day God called you home. A million times we needed you, a million times we’ve cried.
If love could only have saved you,
you never would have died. The Lord be with you and may you rest in peace.
