Australia is joining the Eritrean Youth Federation

At a meeting sponsored by the member of the executive of the Eritrean National Council for democratic change Mr Munir Abdulhai and a member of the National Council Mr Mohamednoor Ahmed on Saturday evening 1^st Sept. 2012. The youth raised vital discussion points regarding “Australian Youth” and to fill the vacant seat allocated to them to join the leadership of the Eritrean Youth Federation for National Salvation emanating from the Conference Debrezait, Ethiopia in last July.  Although the organizers of the conference for unknown reason didn’t invite any youth group in Australia, but the Conference remedied this mistake, giving a seat to Australian region.

The Saturday’s meeting was attended by members of the organization Eritrean Australian Youth and others.

Three Youth were elected in Melbourne and a similar meeting is set to be held in Perth to elect two. A total of five committee members will in turn elect one from among themselves to represent Australia to fill the above mentioned seat.

The support given by ENCDC indicates the existence of a spirit of cooperation between the two entities. That was the opinion of the majority of the youth that attended the conference. While a very little number among the youth had an extreme view of severing any relationship with the ENCDC. Also a third opinion was calling for fully merge under the National Council.

This Youth leadership is expected prepare for a bigger and wider representative Youth Conference to be held within a year.
