Mr.Hussain Khalifa the Secretary General while Mr. Berhanee (Henjma) the Chairman of the Supreme Leadership of the EDA

The Eritrean Democratic Alliance has concluded its election process of the leadership, some minutes ago. Thus, Mr.Hussian Khalifa, who has been chairing the sessions of the meeting, has been unanimously elected for the position of the secretary general of the EDA; while Mr. Berhane Yemanee(Henjma) for the position of the chairman of the supreme leadership. Moreover, Gulf Information Center has learnt that the EDA has justnow begun the election of the members of the executive body. The candidates for the executive office include Ahmed Nasser, Adhnoum GebreMariam, Ibrahim Harron, Hamid Turki, Gerneyos Osman, Mohammed Tahr Shengib, Twelde GebreSelassie, Mengistaeb Asmerom and Mohammed Nur Ahmed. One of these candidates would be out of the executive office which would consist of nine members. However, Mr.Heruy Tedlla and Osman Abubkr have withdrawn themselves from the contest though they recommended for the executive office. Furthermore the signing ceremony on the charter of the EDA will take place at 8:00PM by Khartoum’s timing at the International Hall of Martyr al-Zuber Saleh for conferences. According to some sources there has been tremendous understanding among the member organizations of the EDA through out the election’s process.
