Two Saudi Papers accuse the Eritrean regime

March23, 2006(KHARTOUM) The Saudi Arabia’s Al-Youm and Al-Watan papers in their issues dated March 17 and March 11 respectively have  accused the Eritrean regime’s satellite services for preparing to transmit live the Germany 2006 FIFA world cup games and particularly tournaments that involve the Saudi and Tunisian national sides.

 The two papers have disclosed tarnished image of the of Eritrean regime indicating that the Government of Eritrea never respects all copyrights of transmission reserved by the concerned networks.

It is recalled that the Ministry of Information of the Eritrean regime doesn’t entertain any ties with the ART network and the Arab Radio & TV network which reserve  exclusive rights of transmitting the upcoming FIFA 2006 World Cup games in Germany.

 Ali Abdu of the Eritrean regime’s Ministry of Information said that in honoring the rights of ART, his Ministry of Information would not broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2006 games that will take place in Germany. He also said that his Ministry reserves the rights to press charges against the two Saudi dailies for their baseless fabrications against the Government of Eritrea’s intentions.
